Reclaimed and salvaged wood given new life as timeless furniture.
Urban Beaver brings quiet luxury into modern interiors, transformingexceptional wood slabs into bespoke live edge tables designed for the spaces they inhabit.
How It Works
From slab selection to final delivery, each table is shaped through a collaborative process guided by material, proportion, and use.
Each live edge table is custom-built from hand-selected hardwood slabs—walnut, American elm, monkeypod, and reclaimed wood—designed around the scale, character, and function of the space it’s made for.
We source exceptional hardwood slabs from California, Hawaii, and select reclaimed sources, choosing each piece for its character, movement, stability, and long-term integrity.
Claro Walnut
Prized for its rich, dark tones and dramatic flowing grain, Claro walnut often reveals striking natural contrast within a single slab. It brings depth and presence to a space, making each table feel bold yet refined.
Origin: California
Tone: Brown with purple to reddish streaks
Grain: Straight, curly, and highly figured
Hawaiian Monkeypod
Known for warm golden hues and fluid, expressive grain, monkeypod moves from light amber to deeper browns within the same slab. It brings a softer, more organic presence that feels inviting without losing refinement.
Origin: Hawaii
Tone: Golden to reddish brown
Grain: Bold, swirling, and highly figured
American Elm
Valued for its warm tones and interlocking grain, American elm creates a soft, flowing pattern with subtle movement. Often reclaimed from urban landscapes across the United States, each slab carries a sense of history refined into a piece that feels grounded and quietly distinctive.
Origin: California and across the US
Tone: Light to medium reddish brown
Grain: Interlocking with subtle movement
